Moreland St, Nottingham

The fourteen historic terraced houses on the site of Moreland Court/Moreland Street are owned by Nottingham City Council (the Council) who wish to get them redeveloped and provide additional homes, rather than sell the land for simply commercial development. They are falling into disrepair and need timely intervention, if they are to be saved.

Nottingham Cohousing (NC) is a Community Land Trust, with a vision to deliver purpose built self-supporting mixed communities in the Nottingham/ Nottinghamshire area. We have a track record of engaging the community and forming a resident group, and have had significant interest and support from a wide number of local people and organisations.

NC aims for this site were to create a Live/ Work community within a flexible cohousing development utilising the existing houses.
